Scope Artech 6.A
The Scope Artech 6.A is a high-performance all-road wheelset designed for both road and gravel racing. It features a 65mm rim profile and weighs 1,319 grams per set, offering exceptional aerodynamics typically found in deeper wheels, combined with the lightweight characteristics of climbing wheels. The 25mm internal width is optimized for 30mm tires, accommodating a range from 28mm to 83mm, enhancing versatility across various terrains.
Key Features:
• Aerodynamics: Utilizes Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics (AEA) technology to optimize rim shape for reduced drag.
• Surface Structure: Incorporates Aeroscales on the rim surface, creating velocity streaks that stabilize airflow and further decrease drag.
• Lightweight Design: Employs Local Reinforcement carbon technology, increasing carbon layers around spoke holes to reduce weight while maintaining strength and stiffness.
• 3D-Printed Hubs: Features hubs made from Scalmalloy, an aerospace-grade material, resulting in a lightweight and robust structure.
• Engagement System: Equipped with a 36T Diamond Ratchet SL system made from titanium with a diamond-like carbon coating for direct engagement and enhanced durability.
• Spokes: Utilizes Carbonlite Aerospokes, providing high lateral stiffness and reduced aerodynamic drag.
Included with the wheelset are pre-installed tubeless valves and rim tape, a Carbonlite Aerospokes spoke and nipple key, an Artech accessory bag with cleaning materials, and two padded wheel bags. The product is developed in the Netherlands and 3D-printed in Germany.
While the Artech 6.A offers outstanding performance, some reviews have noted concerns regarding the hubs. Specifically, the 3D-printed hubs have shown susceptibility to corrosion if not meticulously dried after exposure to moisture. Additionally, the textured surface from the 3D printing process can make cleaning challenging.
